Are you trying to buy a new smartphone and confused with so many options available? Of course, the market is full of options for high-end smartphones that come with an exorbitant price tag but your pocket doesn’t allow you to spend beyond a limit. No worries, OnePlus has just launched two pocket-friendly versions of smartphones on 26th October 2020. To make your decision easier have an insight into the exclusive features of OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100.

Screen Size:
The Nord N10 5G comes with a 6.49-inch touchscreen display and OnePlus Nord N100 comes with a 6.52-inch touchscreen display. The large screen size gives your movies, apps, and games a better visual experience. However, this screen size is a fairly large phone to pocket, and your hands will probably struggle to reach across all of the displays. One good thing is that OnePlus has retained its Reading Mode setting which overcomes this difficulty.
Colour & Design:
The OnePlus N10 5G has a glass front and plastic back with a metal frame, which at least feels good in hand compared to other mid-range phones. On the other hand, the OnePlus N100 is made of plastic. The rails feel solid but are rather slippery.
The deep Midnight Ice blue colour that changes hue as it reflects the light makes OnePlus Nord N10 5G extra attractive and stand apart from the boring blue, grey and black colours of the phones in general. Nevertheless, the drawback is that this picks up fingerprints pretty easily which often needs to be wiped off afterwards. OnePlus Nord N10 is available in Midnight Frost colour.
Speed 5G:
As the name suggests, the Nord N10 is a 5G phone and supports two SIMs. This makes it a great choice in this price range for those who can’t compromise on speed.
The OnePlus Nord N100 is also a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Storage:
OnePlus Nord N10 5G has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, of which 103GB is free for use. Unlike the original Nord, the N10 5G can be boosted with a MicroSD card, if you’re ready to sacrifice one of the two SIM slots. So you can store your whole world of media files without any problems.
The OnePlus N100 has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which is decent for keeping all your favourite content. If this space looks insufficient, it can be expanded by inserting a microSD card.
Alert Slider:
One of the signature features for OnePlus, the alert slider that allows you to quickly put the phone into ring, silent and vibrate modes, which is present on the original Nord is missing in Nord N10 5G. This is the price you had to pay for the comparatively lower price tag.
Camera:
The OnePlus Nord N10 5G has four cameras at the back; a 64-megapixel primary camera; a 8-megapixel camera and two 2-megapixel cameras. Those interested in selfies will get a fairly good front-facing camera 16-megapixel camera.
The OnePlus N100 comes equipped with a 13 MP main camera for striking shots, a macro lens for getting close ups and a specific camera for portrait photos. It also sports a 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Battery Life:
OnePlus Nord N10 5G runs Android 10 and is powered by a 4300mAh battery. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G supports proprietary fast charging but there’s no wireless charging. If you’re a keen video viewer, you might be disappointed by the fact that only in three hours of full-screen YouTube streaming the charging drops to 21%. However for normal use its battery life is better than both the OnePlus Nord and the flagship-class OnePlus 8.
N100 is powered with a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery and included an 18W fast charger which gives you the power to stop worrying about power.
Speakers:
But if you do want the best gaming performance, then Nord N10 5G may not satisfy you if you compare it with Nord. But then the Nord just has a single speaker whereas you get stereo speakers here but this extra speaker is not used for gaming or watching videos. However, the OnePlus Nord N100 is not a gaming phone.
Price:
OnePlus Nord N10 5G price has been set at GBP 329 (roughly Rs. 32,000), while OnePlus Nord N100 is priced at GBP 179 (roughly Rs. 17,300).
Conclusion:
Both these smartphones are good performing phones in this price segment. OnePlus has aimed at those looking for an all-rounder smartphone at an affordable price with features like a headphone port, microSD expansion, and a hybrid stereo speaker setup, and in that respect, it has succeeded in proving the best possible options with the launch of these two variants of affordable smartphones.
